About Me

Faith

Faith is a cornerstone of who I am and how I behave. I’m a Christian and strive to live like Jesus.

Family

I’m a husband and father of two. We enjoy playing games (card, board, or anything we can think up), playing at parks, playing outside, playing on the lake… I believe play is extremely important for a family and we priorize it.

Fitness

I work out several times a week for several reasons:

• To be strong to be useful (see Strenuous Life)
• To be able to play with my kids and their future kids for decades.
• To stay healthy
• To look good

Fun

Gaming

For fun I like to play video games. You can check out my games page to see what I’m playing, have played, and want to play.

Guitar

I also enjoy playing guitar. I play electric and acoustic; mostly Christian and country but some rock thrown in. I occasionally play for church as well.

Life Outside Code

When I close my laptop, I’m fully present with my family - playing with my two kids, supporting my wife, or just being together. I lift weights 5+ days a week, not for aesthetics but to stay strong enough to be useful - to keep up with my kids now and be present for them (and their kids) decades from now. I also unwind by playing guitar and gaming on Xbox and Switch.

What I Value

I value faith, family, and freedom: in that order. Jesus is Lord and I follow His example. I lead and support my family based on His teachings. I value work that honors these priorities and allows me to serve others well.
